Opportunity Details... Amachi-Break the Cycle
Amachi-Break the Cycle is a NJ RSVP statewide initiative for one-to-one mentoring for children of incarcerated parents.
Amachi-Break the Cycle in Mercer County, NJ is a collaborative effort between the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Mercer County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County, and the Boys and Girls Club of Trenton.
We link children of incarcerated parents with a caring adult mentor willing to support, to guide, and to be a friend to a child for one hour a week for at least one year.
Mentors who are aged 55 years and older will be enrolled as an RSVP member.
We are accepting prospective mentor applications and children (age 6-18) enrollment.
