Opportunity Details... Tutor Children from Anacostia on Wednesday Afternoons on Capitol Hill

Horton's Kids is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive services to some of Washington, DC's most underprivileged children and their families, including tutoring, mentoring, dental and vision care, food, clothing, and holiday celebrations. On Wednesday afternoons (4:00 pm - 5:15 pm) from September to June, Horton's Kids buses K-6 grade children from Anacostia to Capitol Hill for one-on-one reading and math tutoring by great volunteers from all over the DC area. You can tutor every week or just occasionally. We meet on C St SW between 4th St SW and 6th St SW and tutor the children in the LBJ Department of Education Building, just a couple blocks from the L'Enfant Metro Station. We are looking for volunteers for the 2012-13 school year!
