Charles County Project Linus
Volunteers are needed to make kid-friendly blankets/quilts/afghans to be donated to sick, traumatized, injured children, age Infant through 18 years, in the Charles County, MD., and surrounding areas. Meetings are held monthly to tag, label, count and bag the blankets, and attendance is totally voluntary. Blankets can be made at home and left in various collection boxes throughout Charles County, or you could join others to work on blankets at the local senior center once a week on Friday mornings.
* Great for: Seniors, home school groups, girl scout troops, and anyone who can crochet, knit, sew, quilt, cut with scissors or tie a knot!
Project Linus is a National organization with a website at www.ProjectLinus.org There are over 300 chapters throughout th US, and other chapters can be found at the National Site.
